At the campground, we have maps and information on hiking and mountain biking trails in the surrounding area, ranging in length and difficulty. We also provide information on driving routes to nearby points of interest.

Manzanares Castle is the best-preserved castle in the Community of Madrid, and the Cuenca Alta del Manzanares Regional Park—which includes the notable La Pedriza—is the largest protected natural area in Madrid.

Highlights include its medieval city walls, its castle, the Church of Santa María del Castillo, the Clock Tower (which houses an exhibition of siege engines), and the Picasso Museum, which features a collection of more than 60 works by Picasso.

Patones de Arriba is a Historic-Artistic Monument. You can also visit the archaeological site of Castro Dehesa de la Oliva, the Cueva del Reguerillo Geological Museum, El Pontón de la Oliva, and other sites.

In Torrelaguna, highlights include the Plaza Mayor and the Cathedral of Santa María Magdalena (15th century).  

In this area, you'll find the Royal Monastery of Santa María de El Paular, founded in 1390 as a Carthusian monastery; the Mirador de los Robledos viewpoint; the Pradillo Dam, featuring a spectacular waterfall; and Las Presillas, with its natural pools.

The Montejo Beech Forest is located in the Sierra del Rincón Biosphere Reserve. It features enormous beech trees over 20 meters tall and more than 250 years old, as well as oaks, cherry trees, hazelnut trees, birches, Pyrenean oaks, holly trees, heather, and rowans.
